Hal Needham
Hal Needham was an American stuntman, coordinator and director who doubled Burt Reynolds across most of Reynolds's lead-actor career and co-founded Stunts Unlimited in 1970. Needham transitioned from coordinator into directing with Smokey and the Bandit (1977) and continued through Hooper, The Cannonball Run, and Stroker Ace. He received an Academy Honorary Award in 2012 for contributions to the stunt-coordinator profession. He passed in 2013.
